The Central Florida Regional Planning Council will share current demographic and economic trends of Polk County to provide insight to your broad audience while sharing tools on how you can access data from your desktop.

About the Presenter:

Shannon McPherson is the Program Director overseeing economic development, disaster and recovery, and emergency management programs of the Central Florida Regional Planning Council.

The Central Florida Regional Planning Council (CFRPC) provides support to citizens and local governments in DeSoto, Hardee, Highlands, Okeechobee, and Polk Counties. A typical day at the CFRPC may include capturing input from citizens to develop a downtown vision plan, meeting with elected officials to discuss long-term transportation solutions, coordinating a training exercise to allow first responders to practice their skills, and assisting a small business as they work to redevelop a contaminated site.
