LAKELAND, Fla., August 14, 2018 – Dick Pope/Polk County Chapter and president-elect receive awards at the 80th Annual Florida Public Relations Association (FPRA) Conference held August 5-8, 2018.
Joe McLeod, FPRA Dick Pope/Polk County Chapter President-elect, received the Joe Curley Rising Leader Award. This prestigious award identifies and honors up-and-coming individual FPRA members who demonstrate emerging leadership traits along with dedicated active involvement in FPRA Chapter activities, programs, functions, and events. The goal of the award is to help recognize the personal dedication and engagement of members with two to five years of membership, and to help build a healthy leadership stream at the local chapter level. McLeod is the Agency Managing Partner at McLeod Communications.
The Dick Pope/Polk County FPRA Chapter received the Professional Development Award at the Annual FPRA Conference. The chapter was recognized for the high-quality opportunities it offers member to learn skills, like the Annual Media Summit and excellent monthly professional development meetings.
