Public Relations Lessons From the Florida Strawberry Festival

Most businesses or organizations develop media opportunities throughout the year. The Florida Strawberry Festival does as well. However, very few businesses or organizations have a small window where media becomes incredibly intense for those days or weeks. Jennifer Morgan will showcase how they plan for their 11-day event media coverage, anticipating any hiccups along the way, and how maintaining a year-round partnership with our media friends is extremely beneficial and like no other.

About the Presenter
Jennifer Morgan is the Public Relations and Media Representative of the Florida Strawberry Festival in Plant City. She is a graduate of the University of South Florida and spent 15 years with the Hillsborough County School District from which she retired in 2018. Formerly a Walt Disney World cast member, Jennifer spent several years working in entertainment and character development at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando. She is married to her husband Brian of 18 years and has two children.
The Dick Pope/Polk County Chapter meetings take place the third Wednesday of the month. Networking begins at 8:00 a.m. followed by announcements and then our program at 8:30 a.m.
